Before you register - what you will need


Before registering for the Practising Certificate Scheme, you will need to have the following at hand:
 
  • A current MyGovID or QGov account
  • Mobile phone to enter MyGov 4-digit code
  • Contact details, including at least 1 telephone number and at least 1 email address
  • Address details, either a Postal or Residential Address
  • Current employment details, including start date
  • All current Competencies held, including the Certificate of Competency / BOE type and number

Competencies held to be recorded are:
 
  • 1st Class Mine Manager (Coal)
  • 1st Class Mine Manager (Metalliferous)
  • 2nd Class Mine Manager (Coal)
  • Deputy
  • Open Cut Examiner
  • Ventilation Officer
  • Site Senior Executive (Coal) – Surface
  • Site Senior Executive (Coal) – Underground
  • Site Senior Executive (MMQ) – Surface (Greater than 20 persons)
  • Site Senior Executive (MMQ) - Underground

Note:   Site Senior Executive (MMQ) – Surface (for 11 to 20 persons)
  • are not required to register for the Practising Certificate Scheme


For Payment:
 
  • Credit or Debit Card – Mastercard or VISA only
  • Card number
  • Expiry month and year
  • CVN
  • Card holder’s name




 

Early Registration - Bonus Period


Persons who register for the Practising Certificate Scheme prior to legislation being introduced will benefit from:
 
  • Bonus learning time (up to one year)
  • no initial registration fee

All persons exercising their statutory function in Queensland, as at the date legislation is enacted, will be required to hold a current Queensland Practising Certificate.

To prove your digital identity, an online document verification system will cross-check the personal information and reference numbers of ID documents that you provide. This will prove that your digital identity matches your real-world identity. It is an important part of keeping your personal information safe and secure.

Step 2.       Contact details


All fields flagged with a * are mandatory

It is mandatory to provide Employment, Role and Start Date

The Employer field has a lookup table




 

Step 5.       Competencies


Select for each competency you hold

When all competencies have been added, select 


The Portal will validate the Competencies entered ….

Where system validation is not successful, your application will be referred for manual review, before progressing.  You will receive the following message:

The PCS Team will be in contact with you.

If Registration is successfully validated, and completed prior to the Enactment Date, no Registration Fee is applicable
 

Payment


Payment will be required for all registrations from the Enactment Date, onwards.
Note: as at time of publication, the fee amount has not yet been set.
